This unit is used to interface between the GPS unit in the aircraft and the ELT so the ELT can transmit the exact GPS position of the ELT (aircraft) to the COSPAS/SARSAT satellites.
Combines the aircraft identification (contained in the programming dongle) with the aircraft position to generate the appropriate long message.
Updates every minute an internal memory module that contains either the short or the long message. Works with all Kannad ELT's including the 406AF Compact. Will interface with any RS232 database. No flag filters required. Designed to insert between ELT and the dongle. NAV equipment must send either NMEA 0183 or ARNAV A/B labels.
